For the times when you just want to hang out, I find that Japanese techno-guru Cornelius can get the job done quite nicely. Here is “Point.”
The Blog of the Hour
This is not real life; this is, for us, aleatoric television, a mixed consort of soft instruments. A narrow viewpoint into various things you don't care about in Los Angeles
That Guy
Otherwise known as Brendan, I have sort of an amalgamation of interests such as digital art, photography, music, history, computer programming, gaming, reading and eating, which I shall be blogging about here.
I also help run a website at http://8th-circuit.com. Go check it out.
Bad Veins is another indie gem I found a while back. Made up by a drummer and guitarist backed by tracks of orchestral pop, they definitely have a pretty unique sound, and a good one at that. Check out “Gold and Warm.”
I can only make out about every third word in this song (and even those I had to look up) but I still find this song very awesome. “Winter’s Love” by Animal Collective. Sit back and enjoy the show.
Sometimes all we really need in life is some awesome German techno to stir things up. So, today I am happy to oblidge; featured is “Stay the Same” by autoKratz. Rock on and enjoy.
One of the most awesome crusing remixes I have ever heard. DJ Kose is my hero for making this already sweet song, “Minimal” by Matias Aguayo, into something truly epic.
While we are on the topic of The Books (see previous post) I thought I might as well give you another song of theirs which provides, I think, one of the best combinations of acoustic guitar and electronic backings I have ever heard. Score one more for aleatoric music.
Song: “there is no there” by The Books
Seriously, The Books have the best lyrics I have ever seen in a band, and their music is kickass to boot. This video is from their PlayAll DVD released a year or so ago, and I am seriously considering buying it.
Beach Boys songs are always awesome. Check out this cover by Locas in Love.
Song of the day; “X-pat” by Octoberman. I think the track could use a little more drumming, but all in all its a great song. Enjoy!
Man I’m not sure about everybody else, but I think German is the debatabley best singing language on the planet (behind maybe Esperanto). It may sound like a drunk man with a sock in his mouth to an uncultured man like myself, but it is this ‘rough’ quality that gives it an extra layer of awesome in my opinion.
